My weakest downfall: doubt. Doubting is something I always struggle with. I keep telling myself God is leading the way and that as long as I trust in Him I should be fine. It’s definitely easier said than done. I told myself that but didn’t necessarily believed that. Is that hard for you too? Yes? No? Maybe it’s just me, but we just all have our moments. Don’t get me wrong there are many times where I do believe in what I’m doing and do believe in what God is doing in my life. But there are definitely times where I feel like I’m stranded in the Sahara desert trying to find my way back home. It’s like a what am I doing here? It’s like an I’m lost and confused kind of feeling.
Something I also do when I feel like this is turn to God. I haven’t watch a sermon from Elevation church in a while and felt like it was needed. I ended up watching the one called All Systems Go, which was perfect for what I was going through it’s like God set it up on purpose.
During the sermon Pastor Steven Furtick talked about how yeah life can get confusing sometimes. While God isn’t the author of confusion He definitely can still take our confusion and use it. Say whaaat? God uses our confusion? I know, I’m shocked too. God loves you too much to let your faith become a formula, so sometimes God has to let certain things happen that way you don’t depend on the system but depend on Him instead. In times of confusion we have to trust that no matter what the situation or what we do God has our back. If you keep God in the center of your life, you don’t have to know where you are going, you don’t have to worry so much about the decisions you make because you are walking IN His will. Seek first the kingdom of God, depend on His spirit because every situation is a set up if God is in it. God will use your confusion to guide you to confidence. In Exodus 13:12, God sent a pillar of a cloud by day and a pillar of cloud by night because God doesn’t look the same in every situation. There is a cloud over your life and God sent the cloud to guide you (Psalm 46). Day or night, good or bad God is always there directing every step. The only path to true confidence is through confusion. Sometimes you have to go through a little confusion for God to teach you how to walk with Him and to get you to where you need to be.
Now I don’t know if this post made total sense, I kind of just felt the need to write this and just did a quick overview of my notes and threw them on here haha. But surely you would have to watch the video here and let God speak to you through it. I know God is guiding my life and He’s guiding yours as well, even in the confusion. I pray that you trust in Him, no matter what situation. Not just go through the motions but truly let Him take over your heart, trust in Him and give you peace. Walking through confusion we can now have the confidence that God is with us every step of the way.
