MY TOP 10 FAVORITE WORSHIP SONGS

Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of worship music because it gives me this sense of peace and I just love being in Gods presence and worshiping Him. I posted a video where you I jam out to these worship songs on my YouTube channel if you feel like listening to little snippets of it instead of reading about it.

  1. I Am Mountain by Gungor

This song is one of those indie/alternative rock songs. As much as I love my worship music I also love the indie style of music. There’s just something about it that makes me feel like I’m at a coffee shop drinking some coffee while I read my Bible, ugh I love it. Not only is the beat good but I also love the lyrics

Momentary carbon stories, From the ashes, Filled with Holy Ghost

Reminds us how we are nothing but dust, nothing but carbon stories yet we are filled with the Holy Ghost, God lives in us. Beautiful.

2. Nothing I Hold Onto by Ethos Church ft. Will Shinnick

This song is one of those songs that you wake up early, watch the sunrise and listen to. What drew me to this song other than the style of the song is the lyrics. I feel like I’m going to be saying that a lot throughout this post but it’s true!

I lean not on my own understanding, my life is in the hands of the maker of heaven. I give it all to You God, trusting that You will make something beautiful out of me.

The first couple lyrics are so touching. That’s what got me. This song doesn’t have many different lyrics to it but it’s the passion of the song and the lyrics that give you so much freedom in knowing that if you give it all to God and trust in Him, He’ll doing amazing things.

3. Vapor by The Liturgists

I remember when I first heard this song it brought me to tears. This song put EVERYTHING into perspective. My favorite lyrics are… well it’s hard to decide because I love every lyric in the song. But here’s my favorite part

Holy, You oh god are holy, Trees clap their hands for you, Oceans they dance for you
You are holy, Infinite and holy, A billion suns rise for you, Clouds paint the skies for you, Mountains stand tall for you, Valleys bow down to you, Everything rises to
Sing all our songs to you

Isn’t that powerful? It put into perspective how everything on this earth is God’s. Trees claps their hands for You, Oceans they dance for You

4. What A Beautiful Name by Hillsong Worship

I pretty sure you all know Hillsong United, how basically every song they make goes viral and how beautiful each one is. The first time I heard this song was in church and I tried my best to not cry like a baby. Still to this day this song moves me so much.

You have no rival, You have no equal, Now and forever, God You reign, Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory, Yours is the Name, above all names

Every time that part comes up in the song the Holy Spirit moves so much for me. I love this song because it glorifies the beautiful name of Jesus. The song shows how powerful His name is.

5. Glory Come Down by Derek Johnson

First let me say this guys voice is incredible! I remember a few months ago after doing devotionals and watching a sermon from Elevation Church I turned on my Spotify worship playlist and this song came on. When I heard it for the first time the lyrics hit home.

And consume me with Your fire and all my desire burn for You, burn for You

That’s all I wanted, I wanted God to start a fire in my heart for Him. I wanted to be hungry, have a burning desire to want to dig into His word and spend time with Him. Gosh, this song is is powerful.

6. Yours (Glory and Praise) by Elevation Worship

Elevation Church is one of my favorite churches, they have an incredible and anointed worship team so I have a feeling the next couple songs will be from their latest album. This song is my ALL TIME favorite from their new album. Every time I hear it I can’t help but lift my hands and praise Him. It’s like I have to drop everything I do and just glorify Him. Amazing song.

And the praise is Yours, And the praise is Yours, You’re the One we bow before
Reigning over us, As we lift You up, You will reign forevermore

7. Mighty Cross by Elevation Worship

I lied. This is my favorite from Elevation’s album… I think, I can’t decide! I first heard this song at Elevation Church when this song wasn’t even out for people to hear yet on itunes.

Oh the cross of Jesus Christ is the reason I’m alive, for His blood has set me free it will never lose its power for me.

I lost it at those lyrics, I can’t help but bawl my eyes out. Sometimes I think we forget how important the cross is, what God did for us just to get to know us and for us to get to know Him. That one day we will be together again with Him. This song emphasizes Gods love for us by what He did on the cross.

8. There Is A Cloud by Elevation Worship

Another song for their album. Told you they have really good songs haha. Anyway whenever this song starts out I’m like hmm.. this is pretty good but when the chorus starts its like BAM!

We receive Your rain, Like a flood, Like a flood, We receive Your love, When You come
This song reminds me of how God wants to pour out His love and blessings onto His people but He can’t if your hands are closed, if your heart is closed on Him. Listen to this song, open yourself up to Him and receive what He has for you. God won’t give your little droplets of water He will come like a flood.
9. Do It Again by Elevation Worship
This song gives me hope. Whenever I am going through something, wanting God to provide or even wondering why He hasn’t done anything yet this song pops into my head.
Your promise still stands, Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness, I’m still in Your hands, This is my confidence, You’ve never failed me yet
Each time I feel like God won’t come through He does, even if it’s not in my timing it’s in His. He still hasn’t failed me.
I’ve seen You move, You move the mountains, And I believe, I’ll see You do it again
God has moved moutains for me in my life many times. When I am struggling with whatever I am going through at the moment, I just say to myself He hasn’t failed me, He’s done it before and I know He will do it AGAIN!
You made a way, where there was no way, And I believe, I’ll see You do it again

10. Manifesto by The City Harmonic
I had to give you a song from a different artist because I could go on and on about Elevation Worship but I’m pretty sure you can look up other songs from them yourself. This song is different from the other ones I’ve given you on here, it’s more a of alternative rock song. I really like it though, my favorite part is when they say the Lord’s prayer. It goes SOOOO well with the song. Check it out for yourself!
…Lord lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, For Thine is the kingdom, power and the glory forever, We’re singing AAAAAMEN!!!!!
Well there ya go! My top 10 worship songs that I have been loving recently! I honestly have over 200 they’re on my playlist on my Spotify if you ever want to check them out! What are you favorite worship songs? Leave it in the comments down below!
